Sr. MUMPS Developer

We are currently looking to fill a new Sr. MUMPS Developer position for a large federal government project. 

 

Job Description: 

  • Effectively write code for new MUMPS routines and Remote Procedure Calls (RPCs) to implement new requirements. 
  • Change existing mumps routines and RPC’s to meet new requirements while ensuring existing system functionality is not affected. 
  • Prepare documentation and other artifacts for mumps patch release. 
  • Work with testers to review test cases that define acceptance criteria for project features. 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • BS degree in Engineering or related discipline 
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional experience mumps development is required. 
  • Experience with Department of Veterans Affairs VistA system and Fileman API. 
  • Experience with creating new Globals and Accessing data from existing Globals in VistA using Fileman is highly desirable. 
  • Experience with Intersystem’s Cache is required for creating and managing new VistA modules. 
  • Strong team leadership skills with excellent verbal communication skills. 
  • Must have a Federal security clearance (MBI). 
  • Experience with the Department of Veteran Affairs, tools, processes and frameworks -- (specifically PMAS, VIP and ProPath).

This is a 100% remote, telecommute, work from home position.  Current VA access is required.
